Christian Blogging Platform - Is it What you Need?

A new blogging platform for Christian bloggers was officially launched on Tuesday. “While the site has not been ‘officially’ launched, it is operational and ready for members said Miles O’Salva, program administrator for the Christian Blogging Community.

There are blogs all over the place and the ‘blogosphere’ is growing greatly every day, so when Miles told me that he believed this to be a great step in the “right direction for bloggers who want to stay away from the mainstream garbage”, I thought, okay, maybe this will work.

I’ll Be With Thee (IBWT), is the official site, running a Drupal, multi-user Content Management System (CMS) with a few nice features, some custom code, and more to come. Miles O’Salva is very excited about getting this off the ground and said he looked forward to working with anyone to help them learn more about blogging in general. By utilizing a centralized community of like minded individuals, it is much easier to learn anything when you feel comfortable with your surroundings and those in your “group”.

IBWT.com is scheduled for an official launch on March 1st, but people wanting to jump in early will get more exposure on the site and be able to get a jump on other users later when some new (undisclosed) features start showing up.

If you feel that you would fit in well with a Christian Blogging Community, feel free to join. “You don’t necessarily have to blog about religion - it is an  overall community feel that we are going for - like minded individuals with a cause”, said O’Salva.

We at Tech Realty® look forward to assisting IBWT in its endeavors and supporting them through code modifications and custom add-ons.

  1. Soooo, how do we go there?

  2. A friend that I mentor in website development/internet marketing started the site up and it seemed that no one was really interested. It seems that *most* “Christians” do not want to associate their religion and their business.

This was actually sent out on the TR Newsletter and I had a woman cancel her newsletter subscription and when it asked why she canceled, she put that she was offended by this post…

Anyways, the site flopped, so I reverted it to just throw some stuff up on it for the time being. I will most likely rework the site later for something else - not sure right now :)
